Critic, writer, lecturer, teacher, and curator of exhibitions in the field of contemporary art, Lucy R. Lippard is also a political activist and feminist. She was a founder of several feminist art organizations including WEB, The Women's Art Registry, and Heresies: A Feminist Publication on Art and Politics.
