Visit the special exhibit on Mexican prints from the Taller de Grafica Popular, then come down to the museum’s Learning Lab in the lobby and learn how block prints are made. We will be making small cards, using soft carving blocks. We will carve them with linoleum block printing tools, select from a few colors of printing ink, and learn to use brayers. Be prepared to get messy as we also do a hands-on demonstration of a block print in the Palace Press to take home.
We promise some pretty impressive results. Come on in and make your own. Experienced artists will be here to show you how!
Ages 7 and older. Space is limited; call 505-476-5087 for reservations.
