The New Mexico Museum of Art and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival are presenting a free concert of Roberto Capocchi during Indian Market weekend.
After winning a string of guitar competitions in his native Brazil, Roberto Capocchi received a graduate scholarship to the University of Arizona. He has since performed in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Belgium and has recorded three CDs of solo and chamber music. Mr. Capocchi has played with The Santa Opera Orchestra, New Mexico Performance Arts Society, New Mexico Guitar Festival, and Santa Fe Desert Chorale. This season Mr. Capocchi was a soloist with the Santa Fe Community Orchestra and performed solo and chamber music concerts in New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Washington DC. He teaches at the Santa Fe Guitar Academy and is artist-in-residence at Adams State University.
