See a screening of a new American Masters documentary about a Mexican American born and raised in segregated Mesa, Arizona, who became an extraordinary international photographer. Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer’s Journey program uses Guerrero’s words and images to explore his collaborations with three of the most iconic American artists of the 20th century: architect Frank Lloyd Wright and sculptors Alexander Calder and Louise Nevelson. Meet Producer Raymond Telles and hear an interactive discussion with architectural photographer Kirk Gittings and Photo Curator Daniel Kosharek. The talk will include original images from the New Mexico History Museum’s vast photo archive.
This event is presented by the Palace of the Governors Photo Archives in collaboration with New Mexico PBS to honor Hispanic Heritage Month. Free with admission; Sundays free to NM residents.
