This summer, we are offering a new, two-week photography program for high school students. Starting on July 24th and ending August 4th, this program is designed to treat the art of photography seriously, regardless of what kind of camera you are using. Professional DSLRs to cell phone cameras, all are welcome. Students will learn, both in the lighting studio and out in the world, to take control of their cameras and make images that are uniquely their own. The class will explore basic but powerful digital editing tools and concepts. They will also get to spend time exploring photographs in the Museum to learn how other photographers have composed a frame, told a story, and interpreted the world around them.
This program is free due to the generous support of its sponsor, Caroline Burnett. Space is limited to 12 students, and registration is required.
