In the Conversation with Collections series, you are invited to go behind the scenes of the New Mexico Museum of Art to see what it takes to care for a wide-ranging collection. You will learn how to apply museum techniques and practices to care for your own heirlooms and belongings. We will also explore in-depth the Museum’s holdings of specific artists. 

Caring for Family Heirlooms and Personal Collections: Applying museum practices to your personal art collections and family heirlooms can be a great tool for protecting and preserving these special objects. Join the Museum’s staff for a discussion about the different ways in which to document and care for your collection.
