Doctor Franklin & Spain

In this “Tale of Two Toms,” Dr. Thomas E. Chávez, former director of the Palace of the Governors and the National Hispanic Culture Center, and Tom Leech, director of the Palace Press, will present their just- released limited-edition book.   After an introduction by Leech on the production of the book, Dr. Chávez will speak on Benjamin Franklin’s secret diplomacy with the Spanish court during the American Revolution.  As one reviewer has written, the book is “an important new addition to the knowledge bank of American Revolutionary War history and….an incomparable example of fine printing and binding.”
