On Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25, the Chávez History Library hosts “Map Mania Symposium,” a free event for all who love maps. The symposium opens with a reception and keynote speech on June 24, followed by a day of discussions on the 25th.
Come spend the evening celebrating the wonderful world of Maps.

Imre Joseph Demhart, Jenkins and Virginia Garrett; Endowed Professor of the History of Cartography and Greater Southwestern Studies at UT Arlington, on “Maps that Won the West”
The event is co-sponsored by the Historical Society of New Mexico. The event is free and open to the public. Seating in the auditorium is limited. Bottled water only.
