The Gem and Mineral Show takes place in the historic courtyard of the 400-year-old Palace of the Governors Located in the historic courtyard of the 400-year-old Palace of the Governors building in downtown Santa Fe on the Plaza, the Gem and Mineral Show is a visual and tactile delight for adults and children alike.
This annual show features only authentic, natural gems and minerals traditionally used in Southwest jewelry making.
The show, in conjunction with the Palace of the Governors Native American Artisan Program, provides an opportunity for gem and mineral dealers and Native American Artisans to tell their unique stories about the historical relationships that have existed between Native silversmiths and jewelers, miners and gem and mineral traders.
Additional programming includes guest speaker presentations on relevant topics of interest as well as a special program for children.
