Cara Romero – Visual Storyteller Friends of Indian Art Event

date_range July 19, 2018
location_on 708-710 Camino Lejo
Santa Fe, NM 87557 United States
schedule 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Cara Romero is a born visual storyteller. Her photography, a melange of fine art and documentary style, is an examination of her culture with a distinctly modern indigenous world view. Her work is often whimsical and can be a complex interplay on social commentary. Cara was raised on the Chemehuevi Valley Indian Reservation and is married to Cochiti potter Diego Romero. Her work has been collected by The Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian-NYC, MIAC, and The American Museum of Britain. Please join us for a delightful evening with this exciting young photographer and prepare to be surprised!

Note: you must be an FIA member to attend events. Please visit the following link to join the group and enjoy a full calendar of events!
