A Visit to the Bosque Farms Studio of Sculptor William Rogers a Friends of Indian Art Event

William “Billy” Rogers (Diné) made his debut at Native Treasures in 2011.  Since then, his large-scale, stylized, stainless steel sculptures have gained a huge following and he now shows at a wide range of art shows, as well as at Manitou Gallery. Recently retired from the Albuquerque Fire Department, Billy is now a full-time artist with a 2000+ square foot studio in Bosque Farms.  We will visit his studio and see his works at various points in their development to understand the inspiration for his designs, how his pieces are fabricated, and the finishing/patina process.
