Children of all ages join Friends of Coronado & Jemez Historic Sites docent and researcher Deborah Ellis as she reads the award-winning children’s book: Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story, by author Kevin Noble Maillard with pictures by (illustrator) Juana Martinez – Neal. As you listen to the story you will learn of the texture, shape, smell and history of fry bread, and why it is an important symbol of Native American culture.
