Presented by Diana Sherman Get a behind-the-scenes look at the hundreds of Chacoan, Mimbres, Hopi, and Rio Grande vessels in the Southwestern pottery collection of the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture / Center for New Mexico Archaeology. Sherman will connect these vessels — dating from 600 AD to 1500 AD — with themes presented in Painted Reflections, and will expand the conversation to include other design elements, including the use of spirals, birds, stars, lightning, and water.

This lecture series is generously funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
