Between Two Worlds: Folk Artists Reflect on the Immigrant Experience in the Mark Naylor and Dale Gunn Gallery of Conscience

1-2PM Come and explore the new artworks, interviews, spoken word poetry, and multi-media presentations resulting from a year’s journey of community based conversations, explorations, and programs with Gallery artists and artworks. 2-4PM Narrated stage in the auditorium: slides and conversation with local and international artists, and the public around the issues of Home, Displacement & Belonging sparked by the Between Two Worlds exhibit. Visitors are invited to join the discussion with artists from around the globe:  Camurdino Mustafa Jetha, Mozambique, Cenia Gutierrez Alfonso, Cuba, Thomas “Red Owl” Haukaas, Florida, USA, Catalina Delgado Trunk, New Mexico, USA, Lama Gyurme, Tibet, resides in New Mexico, Titus Steiner Cody, Ramah, New Mexico USA, Janet Nkubana, Rwanda, Africa, Hend H.A. Eleiwa, Gaza, Palestinian Territories, Cilau Valadez, Mexico, Akeem Ayanniyi, Nigeria, resides in New Mexico, USA, Rangina Hamidi, Afghanistan. 3-4PM Atrium: Sample delicacies from Santa Fe-based immigrant chefs and visit with folk artists from around the world. This program and Museum admission is FREE to everyone.
