Foundation members at the Patron, Benefactor and Ambassador levels are invited to be first to see The Red That Colored the World, a spectacular exhibition that explores the history of cochineal and the seductive visual nature of red Saturday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m. at the Museum of International Folk Art.
Following the cochineal bug from Central America to the United States, Europe and beyond. Red displays more than 130 objects from the museum’s collection, private lenders and museums internationally. Each object reflects the unique uses of color and how one bug has influenced art, culture and trade throughout the world.
