Luminaria Tour at Fort Selden

Ft. Selden Historic Site will be celebrating the season again this year with its annual “Luminaria Tour”.  1,000 Luminarias will be placed along the Monument trails to light the path of visitors as they experience this night-time wonder.

Living history re-enactors will be on hand to add an historic flavor to the event with skits and songs, and visitors will be treated to Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Cookies.  The traditional “Kids Christmas Crafts” program will again be offered the same day from Noon to 2:00, and will include Tree Ornament making and Cookie baking.  Pre-registration for the Kid’s program can be made by calling the Fort at (575) 526-8911.  Both of these events are free to the public.  This year’s program is made possible through the kind efforts of the “Friends of Fort Selden”, and the Valle Verde 4-H Club and the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.
