Polly Chavez, newspaper columnist, santera, and descendent of early residents of Lincoln, will give two talks in Lincoln Historic Site’s Convento Museum on the cultural customs of Dia de los Muertos and explain the construction of the traditional altar (ofrenda) that is an important Dia de los Muertos custom. Children’s activities, live music, and altars in memory of some of the well-known former residents of Lincoln, including one very famous young outlaw, will be found throughout Old Lincoln Town.
The talks will take place at 12 pm and 2 pm. Each talk will last around 45 minutes.
