At 1 p.m. Masaaki Modegi, President of The Tokyo Kite Museum will give a public lecture on Japanese kites in conjunction with Tako Kichi: Kite Crazy in Japan.
The lecture will be followed by a drop-in, hands-on kite-making workshop for ages 3–103. If the weather permits, kite flying will also take place on Milner Plaza. This program is by Museum Admission; New Mexico residents free on Sundays! Youth 16 and under and Museum of New Mexico Foundation Members always FREE!
This program is funded by the International Folk Art Foundation and The Japan Foundation.
