Title: Palace Courtyard

Description:

Between the New Mexico History Museum and the Palace of the Governors lies the Palace Courtyard, a hallmark of traditional Spanish architecture and one of the campus’ loveliest features. Tall trees (a massive Chinese elm thought to be more than 100 years old, and a tall cottonwood planted by King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain during a 1987 visit) shade this interior courtyard in the summer, providing a cool oasis.
